Funded by Theatre Ontario through their Professional Theatre Training Program, I was able to assist Ashlie Corcoran as she put together the largest production in recent history at the Thousand Islands Playhouse. Based on the same story as the hit films “You’ve Got Mail” and “Little Shop Around the Corner”, this witty and warm-hearted Tony Award-winning romantic comedy is full of show-stopping tunes- a perfect musical gem. It is a unique ensemble-style book musical, and I learned a great deal from Ashlie. Due to a cast injury in the final week of rehearsals, I was quickly called in to replace a male chorus member. It certainly made for an exciting summer.
