Into The Woods is one of my all-time favourite musicals, so I couldn’t resist the urge to work with Ashlie once again on this piece. It was a somewhat risky choice for the Playhouse, given the darker content in the second half, so we spent time in rehearsals making sure to use the lightness throughout to keep the piece buoyant. In the end, we created a production that was magical, mysterious, and well-received by audiences.
